Deleting your data
How to disconnect a platform from Poowha, and how to ask us to delete what we hold. This page is also the data-deletion instructions Facebook requires us to publish.
Disconnecting Facebook or Instagram
In Poowha, open the client, then Settings → Connections, find Facebook and Instagram, and press Disconnect.
That revokes our access token with Meta immediately. We stop reading the Page and the linked Instagram account from that moment, and no new posts, comments or messages are collected.
You can also remove Poowha from your Facebook account directly: Facebook → Settings & privacy → Settings → Apps and websites. Doing it there has the same effect on access; doing it in Poowha also tidies up the connection record.
Deleting what has already been collected
Deleting a client inside Poowha hides that client and everything attached to it — connections, metrics, posts, comments, messages and leads — from every screen and every query.
For complete removal of the underlying records, email hello.poowha@gmail.com from the address on your account, saying which business or which Page you mean. We will do it and confirm when it is done. We do this by hand today because the event log that makes the audit trail trustworthy is append-only, so removing data from it is a deliberate operation rather than a delete.
We will not ask you why.
Closing your account entirely
Email hello.poowha@gmail.com and ask us to close it. We will disconnect every platform, remove your organisation from every screen, and confirm. Anything you want exported first, ask for in the same message.
